Freight questions

Quick answers for better quote requests

The questions we're asked most — what we can move, how quoting works, and what to expect once your freight is with us. Each answer links through to more detail where it helps.

If your question is specific to a route, pickup access or a fragile load, send the details through the quote form and the team will review it.

Where does Fleurieu Logistics deliver?+

We handle local Door2Door freight across our South Australian footprint and use partner-network options for regional SA and interstate freight pathways. Start with the Where We Ship map or send the route through the quote form.

Do you ship international?+

While not our main business, we can offer international options.

Do you collect freight from my premises?+

Yes. For suitable freight, we can collect from your premises after confirming pickup access, packaging, dimensions, weight and handling needs. That is a key difference from drop-off-only options. Check what freight suits us before you request a quote.

How do I know my freight was delivered?+

Every delivery is recorded as a digital proof of delivery (POD) — the name of the person who received the freight, delivery photos and a signature where it is required, each one timestamped. There is no paper docket to chase. If you need that confirmation for a consignment, ask the team through Contact and we can pass it on.

What freight is a good fit?+

We are best suited to wine cartons, caged freight, skids, secured cartons, pallets and business-to-business general freight. The full freight suitability guide explains what we move and what usually needs another pathway.

What do you not usually move?+

Unpackaged or used car parts, furniture, vehicle moves and loose items usually need another pathway — new car parts boxed for freight are fine. If freight is not boxed, wrapped, strapped or palletised, review the freight securing guide before submitting a quote request.

How should wine be packed for freight?+

Use strong cartons, dividers between bottles, secure tape or glue, and wrap palletised cartons to the pallet itself. Cages can be a better option for suitable movements. Read the wine packaging guide before sending details.

What details do I need for a quote?+

Send pickup and delivery addresses, freight type, item count, dimensions, weight, packaging type, forklift availability, tailgate requirements, access notes and photos where useful. The quote form steps through those details.

Why do forklift and access details matter?+

Forklift, tailgate and vehicle-access details affect the truck, handling plan and price. Add those notes in the quote form so the team can review the right local or partner-network pathway.

What are your operating hours?+

We operate Mon–Fri, 8:00am – 5:00pm ACST. For urgent freight questions, call 0412 237 648 or send the details through Contact.
